That Hatchling-grafittied Nexus door leads to here, and what looks like the outer door of one of the buildings in the Black Mage Village. Another door has been added next to this one to actually get to the inside of the building.

"Leave? And go where...?" he asks the hatchling, confused.

He doesn't seem to notice the couch is floating, watching the hatchling sleepily.

"I don't know where," the hatchling says. And he doesn't, really. When people stopped, what made them a person just went away. The rest was buried, but it wasn't them any more. "They never come back to tell us where they went."

Mr. 288 is heading for the village's very seldom used inn. Sometimes the Mages wondered why they bothered to have an inn, but it seemed like something a town was supposed to have. So they had one.

"Oh." He thinks he understands. "I'm not going to go... just going to sleep."

Right now that's all he wants. That, and something to drink, oddly.

That reassures the hatchling, who seems content to snuggle and maybe take a nap as well.

Luckily Rydia'd heard enough from the hatchlings that headed back to suggest someone meet them at the inn with some fruit juice if Kuja's still awake when they get there. Rydia herself has pinpointed off to Mysidia to try to get Porom's help.

Mr. 288 floats the couch into the building and sets it down not far from a bed in the inn. He decides against trying to move Kuja to the bed for now.

Mr. 44 waddles over with a glass of apple juice.

It gets through to him now that they aren't in the Nexus anymore. And one glance around is enough to let him know where they've put him. He's been here before, after all... They must really be desperate.

Then he loses his concentration, and blinks at the glass of juice, but still does not move.

Mr. 44 fidgets slightly. "Rydia said you might want this. It's apple juice," he says uneasily, and then realises Kuja might not feel well enough to sit up and drink anything. He thinks about what to do about that. Maybe try spoon feeding him?

Oh. That makes sense.

He pushes himself upright, positioning himself so he's propped up against the arm of the couch. Then he reaches for the glass, and tips it to look inside. Yes, it's just juice. So he drinks~.

Mr. 44 is glad there doesn't have to be any spoon-feeding of Kuja. Because he's fairly sure Kuja wouldn't like it and upset!Kuja is scary.

The hatchling repositions himself and resnuggles, although he probably doesn't really do any more to help hold Kuja up than a magelet-shaped pillow would. But he's trying.

When he's done with the juice, he closes his eyes, holding the glass next to him. Soon, it might be obvious that he's fallen asleep right on the couch.

The remaining hatchling also dozes off, snuggled next to him.

He sleeps for a long time. Hours and hours. And when he does wake up again, he feels a lot better.

Able to concentrate on things again! Like the fact that he's in the mage's village, with no AV field. And they might not be pleased to have him here. He turns over, to see if anyone is still there.

Vi has left Axel in Terebas's care and has followed the mages, meaning to see if that Kuja is the Kuja she'd met - and go from there.

Since there wasn't anything keeping her from crossing the threshold, she steps through the door, looking carefully and quickly around.

The hatchling snuggled next to Kuja continues to snooze, but Mr. 128 was just lightly dozing and wakes up at the approaching footsteps. He blinks in surprise at a stranger in the village. "H-hello."

To be polite, Vi is doing her best to tone down the lean-and-hungry-look thing she has going, and she keeps her hands away from the long knives at her hips. 'Hello. Pardon me for waking you.' She bows politely. 'I am Vi de Rosa.'

"H-hello," Mr. 128 replies. "Did you follow Mr. 288 here from the Nexus?" He's hoping it's that, since otherwise she'd be someone from their world.

She nods. 'I hope that wasn't a problem ... I think someone I know was injured, and brought here. A man named Kuja?'

The mage nods. "He's here. Porom told us he'll be ok, but he needs to rest."

Vi pauses for a moment, impassive. 'Please tell him I came looking for him. I need to speak with him.'

Mr. 128 blinks. "Right now? Or when he wakes up? Because he needs to rest."

Vi blinks back. 'When he wakes up.' Slight pause. 'Excuse me for being unclear.' She should learn to give more information when she talks, yes. Meanwhile, she's readying to go back the way she came.

"Ok. I'll tell him when he wakes up."

'Thank you. I'll check back later, if that's no trouble.' Her voice is smoothly polite, and she bows slightly.

And if that's all, she'll head back to the Nexus.

It takes him almost half the day to wake back up. When he does he tells the older mages let Vi in if she comes back.

This probably will turn out to be a bad idea.
