That Hatchling-grafittied Nexus door leads to here, and what looks like the outer door of one of the buildings in the Black Mage Village. Another door has been added next to this one to actually get to the inside of the building.

"Oh." He thinks he understands. "I'm not going to go... just going to sleep."

Right now that's all he wants. That, and something to drink, oddly.

That reassures the hatchling, who seems content to snuggle and maybe take a nap as well.

Luckily Rydia'd heard enough from the hatchlings that headed back to suggest someone meet them at the inn with some fruit juice if Kuja's still awake when they get there. Rydia herself has pinpointed off to Mysidia to try to get Porom's help.

Mr. 288 floats the couch into the building and sets it down not far from a bed in the inn. He decides against trying to move Kuja to the bed for now.

Mr. 44 waddles over with a glass of apple juice.

It gets through to him now that they aren't in the Nexus anymore. And one glance around is enough to let him know where they've put him. He's been here before, after all... They must really be desperate.

Then he loses his concentration, and blinks at the glass of juice, but still does not move.

Mr. 44 fidgets slightly. "Rydia said you might want this. It's apple juice," he says uneasily, and then realises Kuja might not feel well enough to sit up and drink anything. He thinks about what to do about that. Maybe try spoon feeding him?

Oh. That makes sense.

He pushes himself upright, positioning himself so he's propped up against the arm of the couch. Then he reaches for the glass, and tips it to look inside. Yes, it's just juice. So he drinks~.

Mr. 44 is glad there doesn't have to be any spoon-feeding of Kuja. Because he's fairly sure Kuja wouldn't like it and upset!Kuja is scary.

The hatchling repositions himself and resnuggles, although he probably doesn't really do any more to help hold Kuja up than a magelet-shaped pillow would. But he's trying.

When he's done with the juice, he closes his eyes, holding the glass next to him. Soon, it might be obvious that he's fallen asleep right on the couch.

The remaining hatchling also dozes off, snuggled next to him.

He sleeps for a long time. Hours and hours. And when he does wake up again, he feels a lot better.

Able to concentrate on things again! Like the fact that he's in the mage's village, with no AV field. And they might not be pleased to have him here. He turns over, to see if anyone is still there.

The hatchling - a different one than when he went to sleep - shifts and resnuggles.

The sounds of a not too normal village can be heard out the window.

Mr. 128 is sitting in a chair nearby, but it seems he might have dozed off.

((*grumble* I thought I'd replied. Lag monster must have ate my post. Jumping down below to Vi's arrival.))

He glances at the hatchling, taking a moment to be sure it's a different one. Are they taking turns?

And Kuja can't tell if the older mage is awake with his eyes closed, or is actually sleeping. Kuja watches him for any movement.

It would seem they are. And the older Mages are letting them.

The adult Mage is sleeping, but not very heavily. A noise outside the window wakes him and he gets up to waddle over as quietly as possible to shoo away a random overcurious villager trying to peek in at Kuja.

As if you could stop a hatchling from cuddling.

Kuja watches the mage, not able to see out the window to see what's happening. He'll wait until Mr. 128 notices him... wouldn't want to scare the mage.

It would be a difficult challenge indeed.

Mr. 128 looks over from the window, planning to check to see if the noise outside bothered Kuja. He blinks when he sees that Kuja's awake. "O-oh. You're awake."

He nods slowly, pushing himself up to sit instead of just lie there. "Yes..."

A glance to the window. "What was that?"

The hatchling squirms a bit, but doesn't wake.

Mr. 128 glances towards the window. "Oh. we don't get very many visitors here. People get curious." Especially when they hear just who is at the inn. "But Porom told us you needed to rest."

Oops, he'd forgotten about the hatchling.

"Ah." And they've probably already heard it's him. Possibly why he's here. "They'll have to get it over with sometime." :|

Which doesn't bother the hatchling. The little poggle just resnuggles and continues to doze.

Mr. 128 nods. "But Mr. 288 told them not to bother you until you felt better."

"...well, I do now." A little.

And part of him wouldn't mind an audience... so long as he doesn't have to show how bad off he really is.

"That's good."

"Someone followed us here from the Nexus looking for you. Do you know someone named Vi de Rosa?"

He blinks, nodding. "Yes, I do. I think I saw her earlier... what did she want me for?"

"I d-don't know. She said you had to talk about something, and I told her that Porom told us that you needed to rest. I think she went back to the Nexus."

"Ah. I don't think I can go back there yet..."

He's not sure he can stay here either, but he's probably not able to walk yet.

Mr. 128 nods. "We don't know if it's safe there now."

"She came here, so maybe she will come back?"
