That Hatchling-grafittied Nexus door leads to here, and what looks like the outer door of one of the buildings in the Black Mage Village. Another door has been added next to this one to actually get to the inside of the building.

To be polite, Vi is doing her best to tone down the lean-and-hungry-look thing she has going, and she keeps her hands away from the long knives at her hips. 'Hello. Pardon me for waking you.' She bows politely. 'I am Vi de Rosa.'

"H-hello," Mr. 128 replies. "Did you follow Mr. 288 here from the Nexus?" He's hoping it's that, since otherwise she'd be someone from their world.

She nods. 'I hope that wasn't a problem ... I think someone I know was injured, and brought here. A man named Kuja?'

The mage nods. "He's here. Porom told us he'll be ok, but he needs to rest."

Vi pauses for a moment, impassive. 'Please tell him I came looking for him. I need to speak with him.'

Mr. 128 blinks. "Right now? Or when he wakes up? Because he needs to rest."

Vi blinks back. 'When he wakes up.' Slight pause. 'Excuse me for being unclear.' She should learn to give more information when she talks, yes. Meanwhile, she's readying to go back the way she came.

"Ok. I'll tell him when he wakes up."

'Thank you. I'll check back later, if that's no trouble.' Her voice is smoothly polite, and she bows slightly.

And if that's all, she'll head back to the Nexus.

It takes him almost half the day to wake back up. When he does he tells the older mages let Vi in if she comes back.

This probably will turn out to be a bad idea.

(un?)Luckily, the hatchlings have gone out to play, leaving Kuja without a potentially embarrassing layer of poggles for the moment. Though how long that will last is anyone's guess.

And eventually, Vi does step through that door again. Not without reservations, mind you; she doesn't like unknown situations.

She simply looks impassive, as usual, and looks around for one of the mages.

There's a bigger Mage or two waddling around near the Inn. They look over.

A little part of her mind is taking notes on the Mages. But she simply approaches and sketches a brief bow. 'I'm looking for Kuja. Is he still here?'

Mr. 44 just nods, it's Mr. 288 that answers. "He's inside." The round type C gestures towards the inn.

She bows again, more deeply - she knows she's being impolite, but she's really rather angry and is having a fair job of it, despite her outward appearance, containing her temper. 'Thank you. Please excuse me.' And off she'll go, toward the inn!

The bigger Mages don't really understand how humans act to realise she's being impolite. They'd likely be skittish about her anyway.

He's awake, lying on the Nexus couch, and looking bored. He glances to Vi when she walks in, and doesn't say hello.

Neither does she. 'Wrong one,' she says succinctly.

He stares at her, blankly. "...What does that mean?"

She's standing casually, but there's a certain tightness in her voice that might hint at her temper. But then, he's not familiar with her, and Basi is so good at controlling *hers~*. 'The Axel you nearly killed is not the one she was staying with - unless you had a problem with this one, too?'

He can see something. Enough to make him watch her closely. :o

"...Nearly killed? He survived, didn't he?"

He pauses. "I don't like any of them, no..."

'Oh, yes,' she says, 'he did. But he was weakened. So she took him home, to our world. Our ship. He's in her bed.'

Tightly controlled. Very tightly controlled, stance loose, tone nearly conversational.

That's a strange thing to complain about.

Not at all, to someone with a good sense of vulnerability and dangers that can't be solved by simply setting things on fire.

'Tried it. She refused. And if we force the issue, she'll take him to the Rook, and nobody can force her into anything there,' Vi paces, which is a lot more like "stalking". 'Bad enough she trusts him this much, but you've provided her opportunity for her to "nurse him back to health" and protect him.' Axel-love +god-only-knows. Thanks, Kuja. >.>
